Has Your Trust In Marriage Been Broken? We can fix it together.
Trust in marriage is one of the most important and fragile parts of your commitment. The reason it's one of the most important is because without trust in marriage, you won't have a foundation to build on. Unfortunately, it's the first thing we lose when our relationship breaks down. When your spouse betrays your trust, it’s very painful. But it is an essential part of your marriage and must be overcome. Now you have come to your crossroad, you can believe that your spouse will not be trustworthy again. Or, the path I hope you choose will be to rebuild the trust. The problem with trust, it takes years to build and a very short time to tear down. But you can rebuild it, here's what I did to rebuild mine. Keep in mind this is a never ending process, trust is always being built. You won't wake up one day and say, I have trust back.
To regain trust in marriage once again, here's the secret. Give it before you believe they actually deserve it. Yes you heard me right, trust them, even though you don't necessarily believe their trustworthy. It's hard to feel you can trust in marriage when somebody has betrayed you. If you take my advice, however, the road might just be shorter and quicker. You may think that trust should be earned, and I don't completely disagree with that. But here's what I believe, if you give trust freely to somebody that has betrayed you in the past, somebody who loved you and probably still does. They will know this is something that's precious, and they won't want to break your trust again. I told you in the beginning, this would not be easy. Most people who get divorced, never really intended for this to happen to them. They're just not happy with the current situation and they want something to change. Most people go about this the wrong way. I will try to help you eliminate the mistakes that I made. And show you the things that I did that worked.
Please keep in mind these are not things that you can do for a week or even a month. They must be done constantly; this is part of the process of making a new you. You see were going to make you a different person, a better person. This is how you will win your spouse back; you will become the best person you can possibly be. Who in their right mind would ever leave someone like that? Trust in marriage can always be rebuilt Your emotions will tell you differently, don't listen to them. Fight every urge you have in your body to open your mouth when you feel emotional. Most of things that you will say when you're feeling like this will be wrong. Maybe not in your mind, but remember what I told you, their eyes see something completely different than yours. It's true; they will see you as trying to control them. Don't fall into that trap. Always remember what your true goal is, if you didn't want your spouse back you wouldn't be reading this. So I must believe if you're still reading, you want that marriage trust back. And there are ways of doing that. First, give them the trust without them deserving it. Second, think before you say anything to your spouse. Even if you have to wait till the next day or three days later. Whenever you can talk to them without getting emotional, stay calm and collected. Third, if you make a mistake its okay, just don't make the same mistake twice. I know none of these things will be easy, they weren't for me. But keep the faith, these are all things that I did and they did work for me. I hope that they work for you, I believe they will. Please know I was not always strong, there were plenty of days where I just didn't want to do this anymore. You need to try and stay strong through those periods; I focused on my kids when I felt weak.
Whatever your reasons are for wanting this to work, focused on those when times feel overwhelming. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.
